Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], Sep 21 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh’s Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) said on Monday that the state government will soon roll out the banknote system. online cinema at the price set by the government.
After holding a meeting with producers, distributors and operators of Telugu cinema, Nani said the delegation welcomed the decision and supported the online ticketing policy.
“The government wants to ensure that entertainment (movies) are available at affordable prices and that tickets are offered online at prices set by the government,” he said.
Nani further explained that the online ticketing system will ensure transparency by limiting the sale of black tickets that weigh on the public and also control tax evasion.
Noting the various issues that Tollywood producers, distributors and exhibitors have brought to the state’s government, the minister said a decision will be made after reviewing their applications.
He ensured that the government responds positively to any request that benefits the public and said that the only goal of the government is to make entertainment accessible to the general public without burning their pockets.
Filmmakers, distributors and movie theater owners as well as Dil Raju, DNV Prasad, Adi Seshagiri Rao and DVV Danayya attended the meeting and discussed issues facing the film industry due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (ANI)
