He also said that the APFTTDC would operate the YourScreens portal where people can buy movie tickets at the mentioned rates without any additional charge. “Although there will be an additional Rs 20 to Rs 25 for service charge to be paid in current online booking platforms, it will only be Rs 1.95 paisa for platform charge in YourScreens . This will deduct the burden from the public.
The government has decided to introduce the online ticketing system only at the request of representatives of the Telugu film industry, and publish the discussions with different sections including distributors, exhibitors and service providers, Vijay said.
