The highly anticipated fourth installment of the Matrix series – The Matrix Resurrections – which recently released in theaters and on the HBO Max online streaming platform, has leaked on torrent sites.

Sites now have access to the film in a variety of sizes, qualities and file types, up to 4K resolution. However, most of them seem to come from the HBO Max streaming site itself.
The leaks first surfaced with shoddy CAM prints that were filmed inside a screening room that looked terrible, based on screenshots that were on the site. . But don’t think for once that downloading this movie for free will have no cost.
Why is it extremely dangerous to download torrents?
Cyber attackers know how desperately people want to see the fourth installment of the most critically acclaimed sci-fi franchise and that’s how they trick their victims.

Most torrent files often contain infected files that can cause catastrophic damage to your system hardware and software. Malware can infect your computer and allow the hacker full access and you could be looking at losing a lot more than you would spend on a movie ticket or Blu-Ray disc.

Pirated movie downloads are illegal
In case you forgot, downloading torrent files infringes the copyright of the filmmakers. Piracy is illegal in India and several torrent sites have already been banned by ISPs to prevent this.
Even if you manage to download the file, you should know that what you are doing is nothing less than a store robbery, and the cops can put you behind bars for carrying out such acts of hacking.

Yes, it’s true that with the skyrocketing cases of Omicron, one would think twice before entering a movie screening room. But if you are an Advent movie buff, you would rather wait for the genuine Blu-Ray disc to drop for the movie to appear on any of the streaming sites than watch it illegally.
You have to remember that the people behind the movie deserve to win and if we keep downloading stuff illegally, we might not see another Matrix because making one won’t be as financially viable for the filmmakers.
